This is from the desk of an adventurer who can never figure life out. A person who attempts to take life head on, but manages to only stumble over and over again. When I realize I don’t know exactly who I am, I attempt to travel. A few months back I took a trip, again asking myself who am I in this moment? My findings? The journey marked only the beginning of all the work I would have to do. When I returned home, I realized that, even with the work ahead of me, clearing my head and being in a new place changed the course of my life.
There is something so very special about traveling. The feeling of being free and able to run wild in a new place is unlike any other. However, as amazing as it is to go somewhere new, it is costly. Travel isn’t always doable, but reading is. These books will transport you all over the world, and give you taste of the culture you may crave. Most are memoirs by women who go from lost to found.
Note: Going on a life altering journey does not mean life’s difficulties will automatically work out.
The women selected have managed to inspire millions of readers to get out of their comfort zone. Comfort zones are hard to define, but testing the boundaries is a delightful way to truly experience life. These books are enjoyable because they show that as soon as you think you have your life in order…you don’t really. Anything can happen and certainty is never guaranteed. It is important to always protect yourself and march to the beat of your own drum. You are in charge of your happiness and attitude, and that message is clear in every one of the books listed.
So whether you are lost or found, challenge your mind with stirring stories. Get out there, dare to be you, and let others see you.
