Well ladies and gentlemen,
As you may recall, I wrote a post back in December about one of my best guy friends letting me control his Tinder account to see if I would have any luck landing him a match. I finally have stories to share with you all of a could have been potential romance, blocking and, of course, two great screen shots.
To start things out, I have been blocked (or “unmatched”) many times. It wasn’t as if I was saying creepy things at all either. I legit asked a girl, “What is your pet Tiger’s name?” because she had a picture with a Tiger. Then, I was blocked.
Another thing to add, I get Tinder’s reputation, but if someone has a nice conversation with you, not one about wanting to “get down”, why would you act a fool? Real talk.
As promised, I am going to share my best story yet. After swiping for a few days for my friend, we got him a match. He gazed through her profile and decided he was interested so we made a game plan. She was into football so we started off with something simple and brought up the national championship game.
She took the bait and kept talking to us. However, she provided no interesting conversation, so we decided to do something completely random… Tell her my friend had a pet squirrel. I don’t know about you, but if someone told me they had a pet squirrel, I would be very intrigued. I would not just respond with “ha ha.” You’re boring.
I continued to deal with her interesting (read: lacking) communication style and even managed to finally set her up on a date with my friend. We agreed that Netflix was a great choice since it was cold out….. and then…
NOTHING. SHE. UNMATCHED ME.
Which is the end of this Tinder chapter. Don’t worry, I will have more for you soon.
Have any suggestions about how I’m handling these moves? Should I continue the way I am? Or should I spice things up more? Let me know your thoughts
