With fall coming to an end and the pumpkin craze slowing down, does this mean the end to festive beers? No! There are some great winter beers one can drink to ring in the holiday season.
Below, I have a couple recommendations for all you festive beer drinkers to try.
- New Belgium Accumulation
As New Belgium claims, this beer is a hoppy wonderland! This claim is 100% accurate. If you’re a hoppy fan, this is the winter beer for you. While it has some hints of fruity varieties, it still has a big and bitter taste
- 12 Dogs Of Christmas Ale
Thirsty Dog Brewing Company’s flavorful Christmas Ale is brewed with honey and spice. Exactly what spices are used? It’s a mixture of nutmeg and ginger. To me, this really gives it the holiday cheer flavor.
- SweetWater Festive Ale
SweetWater has done it again! Their Festive Ale is a treat that will keep you warm over the chilly night full of flavors of rich malt, cinnamon and mace.
- Christmas Ale from Sly Fox Brewing Company
Sly Fox Beer has crafted their Christmas Ale. This is a full-bodied red ale and is brewed to perfection by adding in some mulling spices. Sly Fox captures this spice master drink by using ginger, clove, cinnamon and nutmeg.
These are just a few of my favorite winter beers. Let me know if I missed any of your favorites! I’m always happy to try new ones.
