How is it that it’s almost September?!
Lucky for all of us TwentySomethings, we still have one long weekend to celebrate summer one last time. Still trying to decide what to do for Labor Day? Let us help!
1. Make a day trip
This doesn’t have to be anywhere exotic or far, you could just visit your closest city or lake and just spend a day exploring. Lake’s typically have a picnic spot you could set up at and explore. They also sometimes have boats, jet skies and kayaks you can rent hourly, or for a full day.
2. Explore your current city
Say it with me. STAYCATION. While that may sound boring, there are so many great things you may not know about your city. Spend a few hours digging around the lovely interweb to see what you didn’t know existed and create your plan of attack. If you don’t want to explore, you can book a nice hotel and spend the weekend vacationing down the road from your house. Hello spa day!
3. Get away for the weekend
Have a beach or a city you’e been dying to visit? Now is the time to venture there! While it will be busy, it’s definitely going to be a lot less packed than Memorial Day or the 4th of July. It’s also a great way to treat your self for a successful summer. A tip for you if you are traveling, definitely get gas that Wednesday before the long weekend (they tend to spike holiday prices) and book your meals out in advanced so you don’t have to worry about a 2 hour wait.
4. Host a goodbye summer party
BBQs are a huge piece of our summer fun. While you may have a small group of friends in town due to people being out of town, you could have a great party. It’ll be time to whip out your hidden Pinterest gems, but it will for sure make it a party to remember.
Let me know what you end up deciding on what to do! I would love to hear all about it.
