I recently found a table top frier on sale at target for $30. Although it may not be the best purchase for my waist line, my culinary creativity has spiked. Tonight I made beer battered fried chicken with garlic mayo, and knew that I immediately needed to write this post so that you can share in the decade deliciousness of this at home soul food.
What you need:
- chicken breast, thinly sliced at an angle or on a bias
- seasoned flour (salt, pepper, cayenne, paprika, and whatever you’re feeling)
- beer batter (1/2 can of beer of choice, 1 cup flour, 1 egg, salt and pepper, 1/3 cup hot sauce)
- 1 cup mayo
- 3 garlic cloves smashed, minced, and sauteed
