Welcome to the 21st century where you will be judged on:
- Your clothes
- Your car
- Your hairstyle
- Your handbag
- Your body
- Your skin color
- How you apply your make-up
- How many Instagram followers you have
- How much money you have
- Who your parents are
- Who you hang out with
- Where you come from
- … and so much more…
I can’t begin to emphasize how much the society we live in influences us. Day in and day out, we are brainwashed by everything we see on the media. We need to stop worrying about what other people are going to think about us, and worry more about what we think about ourselves.
Who wants to live their life trying fit in? Who wants to live their life trying to be something they are not? We were all born to stand out.
Living life in your comfort zone is not exactly considered ‘living.’ We all turn to our comfort zone every now and then (which is fine), but your comfort zone isn’t somewhere you should reside at all times. A comfort zone is temporary place of dwelling that puts us at some sort of ease, but it is not permanent.
Dare to be different, dare to be bold, dare to be the person who for once doesn’t care what anyone has to say or think about you. Whether you’re a size 0 or size 22, female or male, light skin or dark skin, rich or poor… you have to accept yourself before anyone else will. This world would be such a boring place if we were all the same exact person. Different is
good great! Embrace your flaws, and love the sh*t out of yourself. I promise when you learn to live outside your comfort zone and accept your flaws you will become a genuinely happier person. Self-confidence is a beautiful thing and should be portrayed by every human being on this earth. There is beauty and goodness is every single thing- whether we chose to see it or not is completely up to us.
“Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.” -Neale Donald Walsch
